The "Account Authentication Proxy" gives webdevelopers access to user accounts and data on these accounts. This will let developers create extensions for Google services. You can apply at code.google.comand get an “authentication token” certificate to access the user database. Telekom and SK Communication are working together in Europe to start an online community similar to Cyworld. So the T-Venture Holding will work with SK Com to start a social networking platform. Cyworld is one of the biggest online communities, with over 14 million members. This platform lets you create your own homepage, and the tool is free. You’d have to pay for special graphics or multimedia files, or if you want to customize your homepage.
The start will be free in Europe, but they plan to charge for additional applications.

Sun Microsystems released a new update of the upcoming Java Standard Edition 6. A new database and some visual developments were added to the second beta-edition of the Java SE 6 (Codename "Mustang"). This tool is developed for Web2.0 - the final version will be released in November 2006. The new version of the developer software xtend 7.2has launched. This tool from Acucorp now offers the Acucobol –GT –Compiler, with the option to connect to java and .net interfaces. So you won’t have to write additional code to access Cobol applications.

The SQL-Precompiler was changed in the new software. Developers can now access the open source database MySQL by Linux, Unix and Microsoft Windows.

The German translation of the MySQL 5.1 manual has been online since the beginning of June.

Sun Microsystems, one of the world’s biggest vendors of computers, parts and software is now supporting AJAX’s development. Sun is member of two AJAX Development Groups - the OpenAJAX Alliance and Dojo Foundation. Sun will help develop the open source JavaScript toolkit to improve professional web applications. In joining these communities, they offered a preview of the NetBeans tool for building AJAX applications.
