German Pr00oBox-DVD ready to download

The popular german OpenOffice-Package Pr00oBox is now available on DVD. The version 2.0.3 is compatible to Windows, Linux Intel, Mac OS X, Debian Linux, FreeBSD 5+6 and also Solaris. So the DVD-Image is more comprehensive than the smaller CD-Version. Also included is the sourcecode for developers.
The software is ready to download on a few servers, but because of the image-size temporarily the download-speed could be limited.


Microsoft converter for ODF

With a brand new project Mircosoft will support the development of OpenOffice Documents. With an own "Open XML Translater" the transformation of Microsoft Office Document into the Open Office Format and the other way around will be possible.
Still available the first application is ready to download. In 2007 more plugins for Office will be available, then for Excel and Powerpoint.


Open Office 2.0.3 - German Version

The German version of OpenOffice.org 2.0.3 is ready to download today. Setup includes a German thesaurus – so you won’t need to do more updates. Additionally, the PDF and csy exports have been optimized. This improved version makes starting faster and security bugs are fixed.
There is now a portable version for USB sticks. It runs on an simple USB stick without any OpenOffice.org software running on Windows.


New Opera Browser

The free web browser Opera 0 has been released in 25 languages and compatible with the windows, mac and linux platforms. The new version mostly consists of new security measures to avoid phishing. Also a native BiTorrent support and widgets. Free download available at Opera.com.

A new browser: Flock. Flock is free, based on Firefox technology and especially optimized to Web2.0, especially in social aspects.
The browser lets you share photos via Flickr, manage bookmarks with del.icio.us or search sites with yahoo. There’s a drag and drop tool to let you easily upload photos and files for your blog, you no longer need an FTP tool. A new RSS tool also integrated to the browser so you can preview RSS sheets before adding them. The browser is still beta - available in version 0.7.
